I do a lot of baking/roasting, and while my Harbor 22 meat thermometer worked well, the casing was easily damaged by water, and the battery died too quickly. The digital Instant Read by ThermoMonster has proven to be a reliable alternative. It’s a bit bigger than other models I’ve used, but size is no issue; it fits in the palm of my hand. I get speedy, accurate temperatures in a second or two (not 1.5), and the screen is easy to read. I also appreciate that it shuts off immediately once the probe is folded down; hopefully, the battery lasts for a while. It’s a great buy for the price.

I liked the digital thermometer because the reading was quick. No waiting for the hand to go around the dial. Not expensive and does the job. And it folds up nicely to put away.

I like how easy to use this product is. Simply straighten the probe and get an instant reading. Automatic turn off when you been the probe back down. It’s magnetic so I can put it on the fridge for storage and easy reach when I want to use it. Very simple and intuitive and works as expected.

Bought this to replace an old one that stopped working. Works great and seems accurate. Magnet is very strong and stays on the fridge for easy access. Nothing fancy just simple and functional.

I did realize how large this would be in my hand, though that isn’t a complaint! The numbers are super easy to read straight on, at an angle they kind of disappear. For being under $10, this was a great deal. It has the standard pork, chicken, beef cooked tempatures printed on the back which was a nice surprise! The magnet is decent and it sticks to my stove without sliding down and seems pretty sturdy and durable. The temp screen does have a backlight to it, which is probable why it’s a little more difficult to read from an angle, I think that would be the only downside to this thermometer. It reads temps pretty quickly after insertion and beats a mechanical thermometer in this area. I have not tested the waterproof aspect and I wont do it intentionally, but if there is a moment that does, I will come back to update the review on. It also has two rubber pads on the backside to prevent scratching if you decide to mount it on your appliances using the magnet inside.
